Running at speed, the Banshee Outboard Jet uses a specialized hull and steering arrangement to keep water flowing efficiently through the propulsion system. The Slide Tunnel channels water toward the elevated jet intake, helping the boat operate with the motor positioned higher relative to the hull.
Inside the pump, an engine-driven impeller accelerates water before forcing it through the discharge nozzle to generate thrust. For steering, external pivoting blades move into the high-velocity stream and redirect its flow, changing the direction of the thrust and turning the boat.
This configuration is designed for shallow-water operation where reducing how far propulsion hardware extends below the hull can help avoid underwater obstacles. Combining an elevated jet intake with direct jet-stream steering provides maneuverability without relying on a conventional submerged propeller.
