Running at speed, the Banshee Outboard Jet uses a specialized hull and steering arrangement to keep water flowing efficiently through the propulsion system. The Slide Tunnel channels water toward the elevated jet intake, helping the boat operate with the motor positioned higher relative to the hull.

Inside the pump, an engine-driven impeller accelerates water before forcing it through the discharge nozzle to generate thrust. For steering, external pivoting blades move into the high-velocity stream and redirect its flow, changing the direction of the thrust and turning the boat.

Jet drives are already 30% less efficient than props. Running it out the water, its probably 90% less efficient.

Remember physics: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So the boat is being "pushed" forward by the reactionary force of the high pressure buildup of the water inside the jet. This "push" transfers to the hull. That's why the flow doesn't need to exit underwater and the boat is propelled forward.
