I forget the significance of release and renew. I've done it before, but I forgot why I did it

Now, if you are really good at I.T. You'll know to turn the PC off. You unplug the computer and then the part 95% of I.T people don't know... press the power button while the cord is unplugged! Plug pc back in and turn on.

Congrats. You just saved a company 3 days of two I.T. teams trying to figure out why their ERP was slow. They said they rebooted 20 times! Rebooting will not fix the issue! even said..  I asked but did you fully reboot? Confused, they said yes we just said that!

    Me: Let me show you.

So I did the above. It was a server and had duel power supply of couse. Yanked both etc.

I Walked out a hero that day. I didn't even charge them. Watching the 4 IT guys all confused was payment enough. Every single employee was cheering we're back! It's fast again!

    FYI:

This works for Windows posting to an all black screen too. Reboot for days, nothing.  Pull power cord then press power while the power cord it's out. Plug in and turn on fixes more issues than you might think. ?
