Whole pineapples can be loaded directly into this self-service machine and turned into ready-to-eat pieces with almost no manual preparation. After the fruit and collection container are positioned, the user simply closes the chamber and starts the cycle.
Inside, the machine mechanically removes the unwanted exterior and core while cutting the edible flesh into smaller pieces. The processed pineapple drops into the container below, while the separated waste is directed elsewhere inside the machine.
Automating these preparation steps makes fresh pineapple faster and cleaner to serve in places where many fruits may need to be processed throughout the day. It also reduces the repetitive cutting and handling normally required to prepare the fruit by hand.
