  • [ytcid:UgyCOw2ZcTQ2akWQ7Tp4AaABAg] How is it possible for anyone with a functioning brain to not see the blatant, overt corruption and hypocrisy with this GOP and still support them? How? How???
  • [ytcid:UgzHIjGC_0igiyOJ5T94AaABAg] That whole Fiasco was Schmidt feels like his team pick ed the keywords basketball team hawk and tried using chat GPT or whatever to find the correlation between those two things. And the closest it got was that someone announced their affair the day before a men's professional basketball team played in the same city. Does not have that shit works. They clearly grabbed the least amount of information put it on the list and then for some reason going to a basketball game after someone admitted to their Affair is a gotcha.

I believe there is no such thing as a humane execution, and the more I've learned about lethal injection, the more I would probably prefer a guillotine or firing squad over it. I don't think it amounts to much justice, and it's closer to vengeance, and I don't believe the mother of the victim will feel any bit better after witnessing the murderer's execution. I would be surprised it that brought her lasting peace. Capital punishment also doesn't deter crime. That's well researched at this point, and these trials and a death row sentence tends to be way more tax-costly than normal murder trials where the guilty is sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. I also don't think the state should be able to execute people in principle. None of this I say out of consideration for the murderer's life. I only argue it from the perspective of societal utility.
  • [ytcid:Ugxw1LO-vrJAVjbOlQJ4AaABAg] I have heard a ton of criticism about Taylor Swift from the time she was still doing country western. People know she is not a good person, and they have so many reasons for it. Here’s a selection: She’s not a good songwriter, she’s not a good singer, she isn’t hot enough to be a real singer, she sings about relationships, she talks about when people are mean to her in her songs, she became a billionaire and all billionaires are bad so she’s guilty by association, she uses a private jet so she’s trying to destroy the environment, she doesn’t do enough to contribute to worthy causes but when she does contribute she doesn’t contribute enough so it’s only for show, she only has hit songs because she manipulates the charts, her whole personality is fake, she actually loves Republicans and Donald Trump despite speaking out against him using her music, she doesn’t support LGBTQIA+ rights loudly enough or often enough, and she’s an unstable, toxic bitch who is addicted to drama which is why all her boyfriends leave her. After listening to all this, I think people love hating Taylor Swift. She’s too successful, too open, too happy, and people love to tear her down. So why not critique everything about her? Maybe o e of them will break through, she’ll be miserable and her haters will get to see her cry. Personally, I have no problem with Taylor Swift. Her music isn’t exactly for me, but I’m impressed with her ability to weather so many storms and her ability to work crazy hard and crazy involved shows. So maybe her last album wasn’t as great as previous. Maybe it’s just that instead of her career’s imminent collapse.
  • [ytcid:UgxVzlh2Sp1NBPJJSft4AaABAg] I may be a little confused. So because she got put on medication and realized what she did was wrong and feels a kinship with Lindsey Clancy, we're supposed to let her go despite her actively killing an 18-year-old girl and ridding her of her life. She tortured that girl And we're just sup.\n Osed to act like her trauma. Excuses that it does not, it should not.

  • [ytcid:Ugylq9SFPdAgVvZiMPd4AaABAg] some times in shitty relationships, people pull outlandish shit just to see how much they can get away with, like in the Taming of the Shrew when the husband made the wife say she saw the moon in the middle of the day because her husband told her it was. So i wonder what narrative they might try to pull tomorrow, habituating us to outlandish explanation
